The Supreme Court granted bail to Pawan Bishnoi, an accused in the 2022 murder case of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.

A Bench comprising Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta also granted bail to co-accused Jagtar Singh, who is alleged to be the singer’s neighbour and is accused of assisting in reconnaissance of Moosewala’s residence.

According to the prosecution, Pawan Bishnoi, alleged to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was part of a module that provided logistical support and assisted in the execution of the murder of the Punjabi singer.

The Supreme Court granted him bail after hearing arguments from both sides regarding his alleged role in arranging the vehicle that was used in the commission of the crime.
