Uttarakhand High Court vacates stay on panchayat elections in State

The Uttarakhand High Court has vacated the stay on the conduct of panchayat elections in the State.

The Division Bench comprising Chief Justice G. Narender and Justice Alok Mehra passed the order after the State Government submitted documents pertaining to the rotation-based reservation rules applicable to the elections.

The matter was heard in Ganesh Datt Kandpal v. State of Uttarakhand.
