Justice Vikas Mahajan of the Delhi High Court today issued notice in a petition filed by a DNB trainee doctor challenging the existing revaluation mechanism in the DNB final examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
The petitioner, represented by Advocate Tanvi Dubey, argued that despite clear discrepancies in the evaluation of his answer sheets, the NBE rules allow revaluation only in cases of unassessed questions. It was submitted that this restriction effectively deprives candidates of any remedy to address genuine evaluation errors. The petitioner clarified that he seeks only an opportunity for revaluation and not the award of grace marks.
Issuing notice to the NBE, the Court directed the matter to be listed on September 22, 2025.
