The Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) has appointed arbitration practitioner Kunal Vajani as a member of its inaugural Court of Arbitration.
Vajani, who earlier served on the ICC International Court of Arbitration, Paris (2016–2024), is recognised for his work in domestic and international dispute resolution. Qualified in Indian law, Common Law and English law, and holding Rights of Audience before the DIFC Courts, Dubai, he brings substantial experience in high-value commercial and cross-border disputes.
The AIAC established in 1978 under the auspices of the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) is among Asia’s leading arbitral institutions. The formation of the AIAC Court under the presidency of Dato’ Mary Lim Thiam Suan, former Federal Court judge of Malaysia, comes alongside the rollout of the AIAC Suite of Rules 2026, effective 1 January 2026.
