On July 28, 2025, the Ministry of Law and Justice notified the appointment of 18 judges, including permanent and additional judges, across the Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Gauhati High Courts, as approved by the President of India under Articles 217(1) and 224(1) of the Constitution.
Madhya Pradesh High Court: 7 permanent judges appointed and 4 additional judges appointed for a term of two years.

- Shri Anand Singh Bahrawat,
- Shri Ajay Kumar Nirankari,
- Shri Jai Kumar Pillai,
- Shri Himanshu Joshi,
- Shri Ramkumar Choubey, and
- ShriRajesh Kumar Gupta.
Additional Judges
- Shri Alok Awasthi,
- Shri Ratnesh Chandra Singh Bisen,
- Shri Bhagwati Prasad Sharma, and
- Shri Pradeep Mittal (effective from August 10, 2025).
Telangana High Court: 4 additional judges appointed for two years:
- S/Shri Gouse Meera Mohiuddin,
- Chalapathi Rao Suddala (alias S. Chalapathi Rao),
- Vakiti Ramakrishna Reddy, and
- Gadi Praveen Kumar.
Gauhati High Court: 4 additional judges appointed for two years:
- Anjan Moni Kalita,
- Rajesh Majumdar,
- Pranjal Das, and
- Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.
The appointments will come into effect from the date the judges assume charge of their respective offices. These notifications were issued in exercise of constitutional powers to ensure strengthened judicial capacity and improved access to justice across the high courts.
