The Government of NCT of Delhi has approved key measures to strengthen judicial infrastructure in the Delhi High Court by sanctioning additional posts of Law Researchers and enhancing their remuneration.
As per Order No. 6/34/03/PF/Judl/Suptlaw/681 dated September 8, 2025, and in line with the decision of the Council of Ministers (Cabinet Decision No. 3247 dated September 3, 2025):
The 2018 Scheme for engagement of Law Researchers in the Delhi High Court, as amended from time to time, has been granted permanent approval.
The sanctioned strength of Law Researchers per Judge has been raised from three to four.
The monthly remuneration of Law Researchers has been enhanced from ₹65,000 to ₹80,000, effective September 2, 2025.
The decision follows a meeting held on May 23, 2025, with the High Court’s “Committee to Take Up the Matter with the Government for Providing Infrastructure for District Judiciary,” which had recommended sanctioning adequate posts and revising the remuneration structure.
