The Delhi Government has amended the Delhi Shops & Establishments Rules, 1954, by formally omitting Rule 5, which mandated the periodic renewal of registration certificates for shops and commercial establishments.

The amendment, notified by the Labour Department on December 9, 2025, removes the procedural requirement for businesses to renew their registration and pay associated fees.
