Delhi High Court Orders Meta, Google to Act Against Accounts Infringing Sunil Gavaskar’s Personality Rights

The Delhi High Court directed intermediary defendants including Meta, Google LLC, and eBay to treat the plaint as a formal complaint and initiate internal action against infringing profiles and accounts. The Court has instructed these intermediaries to provide relevant account and profile details to facilitate the impleadment of the infringers. Mr. Gavaskar has been asked to supply specific infringing links, which the intermediaries must take down, including unauthorised photos and videos of the cricket legend.
