The Delhi High Court granted podcaster and entrepreneur Raj Shamani protection over his personality rights, restraining the unauthorised use of his name, image, persona and attributes particularly in AI-generated deepfakes, fake endorsements, and deceptive chatbots.

Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora passed the injunction against entities misusing Shamani’s identity but clarified that no relief would be granted at this stage against parody or satirical videos, memes, or hashtag usage, noting these issues require separate proceedings.
