The Delhi High Court referred astrologer Trishla Chaturvedi’s defamation case against astrologer Umang Taneja to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, with the consent of both parties.
Earlier, on September 9, 2025, the Delhi High Court had directed the takedown of the allegedly defamatory videos/posts from the concerned social media platforms and restrained the defendant from publishing further defamatory content against the plaintiff.
As the matter came up before the court again, the plaintiff submitted her grievance that the defendant had continued publishing allegedly defamatory videos despite earlier directions. Noting the grievance, Justice Mini Pushkarna referred the case for listing before the Mediator from the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre on January 30, 2026.
Pending the mediation proceedings, the Court directed both parties to refrain from posting any videos or content against each other on any social media platform. The Court also granted liberty to the defendant to file a written statement in accordance with the law.
The matter has been directed to be listed before the Court on April 10, 2026.
