The Delhi High Court has issued notice in a suit filed by Razorpay against rival fintech firm PayU, alleging infringement of its IPL 2025 founders advertising campaign. Justice Jyoti Singh, while hearing the matter, declined to grant any immediate interim relief and listed the case for further consideration on March 30.
Razorpay contended that its campaign featuring 37 entrepreneurs presented through a stylised composite video format has been substantially imitated by PayU in a similar campaign showcasing 36 founders. It alleged that the rival campaign mirrors its sequencing, visual treatment, and storytelling structure.
The Court issued notice to PayU and granted it one week to file its reply. The matter will now be taken up on March 30.
