The Ministry of Home Affairs has notified that the provisions of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025 (Act No. 13 of 2025) will come into force from September 1, 2025.
The notification was issued on August 31, 2025, under sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Act. This legislation will govern matters related to immigration and foreigners in India.
