The President of India has appointed Justice Sudhir Singh, Judge of the Patna High Court, to perform the duties of the office of Chief Justice of the High Court with effect from October 23, 2025. The appointment has been made under Article 223 of the Constitution of India, following the retirement of Chief Justice Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri on October 22, 2025.
