Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad appointed Acting Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court

The President of India has appointed Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Judge of the Jharkhand High Court, to perform the duties of the office of Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court under Article 223 of the Constitution.

This appointment follows the transfer of Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao to the Tripura High Court and will remain in effect until Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan of the Himachal Pradesh High Court assumes office as Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.
