A Delhi Court framed charges against Congress Member of Parliament Karti Chidambaram in the alleged Chinese Visa scam case. The charges include offences of criminal conspiracy and influencing a public servant.
Special Judge (PC Act) Dig Vinay Singh of the Rouse Avenue Court framed charges against Chidambaram and six other accused persons in the case. At the same time, the Court discharged one of the accused, Chetan Shrivastava, from the proceedings.
The matter arises from allegations relating to irregularities in the grant of visas to Chinese nationals.
Senior Advocate Sidharth Luthra with Advocates Arshdeep Singh Khurana and Akshat Gupta appeared for Chidambaram.
