Rajasthan HC Lawyers’ Bodies Call for Boycott of Judicial Work on Dec 2 After Alleged Police Misconduct

The Rajasthan High Court Advocates’ Association and the Rajasthan High Court Lawyers’ Association, Jodhpur, have jointly resolved to abstain from judicial work on December 2, 2025, protesting the alleged misconduct and assault by police officials of Bhupalgarh Police Station on an advocate during the performance of his professional duties.

According to the associations’ presidents, the police action described as unlawful detention, physical assault, and attempt to implicate the advocate in false cases has deeply impacted the legal fraternity. The bodies demanded immediate suspension of the concerned police officials and withdrawal of the false charges.

They stated that unless prompt action is taken by the police administration, the protest could escalate. A symbolic rally is also proposed outside the High Court premises on December 2. Senior office-bearers and members of both associations were present when the decision was taken.
