The Rohini Court Bar Association (RCBA) has issued a notice making it mandatory for all clerks working under advocates to obtain an authorised RCBA ID card by 15th August 2025. This move comes in response to multiple complaints regarding imposters posing as clerks or advocates and misleading litigants particularly the uneducated under false pretenses.
In its official communication dated 14th July 2025, the RCBA stated that this fraudulent activity is not only harming the dignity of the legal profession but also threatening the livelihood of genuine legal professionals. The Executive Committee has unanimously resolved that no clerk will be permitted to operate within the Rohini Court premises without an officially verified and approved RCBA ID card.
The notice further warns that any individual acting as a clerk without the mandated ID card will face strict disciplinary and legal action. The Association will also conduct regular compliance checks to enforce the new rule.
Members have been urged to ensure timely compliance and support this initiative aimed at preserving the integrity and professionalism of the Bar.
