The Supreme Court on Thursday reserved its verdict on the question whether Judicial Officers are eligible for direct recruitment as District Judges.

Hearings concluded before a five-judge Bench comprising the Chief Justice and Justices M.M. Sundresh, Aravind Kumar, Satish Chandra Sharma and K. Vinod Chandran, after detailed arguments by counsel and intervenors; judgment has been reserved for circulation.
