The Supreme Court stayed the criminal trial against YouTuber Elvish Yadav in a case alleging his involvement in organizing rave parties where snake venom was allegedly used as a recreational drug in the presence of foreign nationals.
A Bench comprising Justices MM Sundresh and NK Singh also issued notice to the Uttar Pradesh government on Yadav’s plea challenging the ongoing criminal proceedings initiated against him under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
