OakBridge Publishing (www.oakbridge.in) proudly released “Unfiltered and Unapologetic” the latest work by the acclaimed author and lawyer, Ms Shilpa Bhasin Mehra. The exclusive gathering of family, friends, and legal fraternity luminaries was hosted at the beautiful residence of Mr K.K. Venugopal, Sr Advocate and Former Attorney General for India, who served as the Chief Guest. Dr Atul Chauhan, President and Chancellor at Amity Education Group, attended as the Guest of Honor.
Dr Atul Chauhan lauded the book for its ‘’wisdom’’ expressing that he wished it had been written earlier as it contained many valuable lessons. He praised Shilpa as an ‘’inspiration’’ for everyone, especially young people and expressed his intent to recommend it as a mandatory reading to students. Dr Chauhan resonated deeply with Shilpa’s reflections on the importance of family bonds and cherishing loved ones. Dr Chauhan also read out some of the insightful quotes and learnings from the book relating them with his personal experience as a father.
Mr K.K. Venugopal, a mentor who recognized Shilpa’s writing talent years ago, described her courage and optimism as “truly inspirational”. He stated that the book is “filled with nuggets of wisdom” and provides “a diverse array of perspectives on what it means to live fully, and effectively navigate life’s challenges”. Mr. Venugopal shared poignant excerpts from the book, including:

• “Your work should never define you… You’re more than what you do for a job each day”.
Mr Venugopal concluded with confidence that the book “will find its way into the hearts and hands of readers far and wide” and predicted Shilpa’s future fame.
Dr Lalit Bhasin, President, Society of Indian Law Firms, further highlighted the book’s significance, stating that the book can contribute significantly in the field of education and in the field of legal training by guiding readers as to how should a person behave and conduct himself. He said that this book spells out the cardinal principles and values and customs, particularly in India, that we have inherited and hence is a good work of reference and inspiration for all.
