Vyapak Desai, Head of the International Disputes & Investigations Practice at Nishith Desai Associates (NDA), has parted ways with the firm to establish his independent law chambers, where he will focus on strategic legal advisory and oral advocacy in complex cross-border litigations and arbitrations.
In conversation with team The Bar Bulletin, Mr Desai said

An alumnus of Gujarat University (Class of 2000), Mr Desai also holds an LL.M. in Corporate Laws from the same institution. With close to 25 years of experience, Mr Desai is regarded as a pioneer in India’s international arbitration space, known for his clear, commercially astute counsel in both domestic and international disputes, including bilateral investment treaty (BIT) arbitrations across sectors such as financial services, TMT, and infrastructure.
Mr Desai has been associated with NDA for over two decades, during which he founded and led the firm’s flagship International Disputes & Investigations and White-Collar Crime practices. Earlier, he also headed the firm’s Capital Markets & Securities Law Practice within the corporate M&A/PE transactions vertical.
