Activist-lawyer Prashant Bhushan’s NGO, Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR), has filed a petition before the Supreme Court challenging the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar. The challenge is directed against the Election Commission of India’s order dated 24 June 2025, which initiated the revision process.
ADR has sought to set aside the Special Intensive Revision notification, arguing that such a revision so close to elections may disrupt electoral fairness and transparency.
