Bombay HC Mandates Same-Day Upload of Orders; Warns Judicial Officers of Misconduct, Suspension for Non-Compliance

Bombay High Court

The Bombay High Court has issued a communication directing all judicial officers in Maharashtra and Goa to upload orders and judgments on the CIS server on the same day of pronouncement, emphasising strict adherence to timelines.

The circular, issued by the Registrar General, states that failure to upload orders on the same day would require officers to furnish reasons, and any delay may amount to misconduct affecting the integrity of the judicial officer.

Judicial officers have also been directed to submit a monthly certificate (Annexure A) confirming compliance with the uploading requirement. The Court further cautioned that any discrepancy in such certification could lead to suspension without departmental inquiry.

Additionally, officers have been instructed not to retain court records after disposal of cases, reinforcing procedural discipline and transparency in judicial administration.
