The Delhi High Court has granted 45 days’ interim bail on medical grounds to Satya Prakash Bagla in a complaint filed by Suresh Aggarwal and Kanta Aggarwal.
Justice Manoj Jain directed that Bagla must undergo the required surgery within 10 days from the date of his release, with the remaining 35 days granted for post-operative recovery. The Court clarified that if the surgery is not undertaken within the stipulated period and his medical parameters are found to be normal, he shall surrender; otherwise, the interim bail will continue for the full 45-day period.
Senior Advocates Mahesh Jethmalani and Pramod Kumar Dubey, appearing for Bagla, submitted that he is suffering from renal complications and requires immediate medical evaluation and surgery, as confirmed by doctors.
The plea was opposed by Senior Advocates Rajiv Nayyar and Sidharth Luthra appearing for the complainant. The Court, however, took note of the submissions made by Sanjay Jain, Sr Adv SPP before granting interim relief.
