The Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) is set to host the 5th Edition of its International Conference on the theme “Arbitration in the Era of Globalization” on April 10–11, 2026, at Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi.

The conference is expected to bring together leading arbitration practitioners, policymakers, jurists, corporate leaders, and international experts to deliberate on emerging trends and challenges in global dispute resolution.

The event will be inaugurated by Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India, who will deliver the inaugural address. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law & Justice, Government of India, is scheduled to deliver the valedictory address. The conference will also feature thematic sessions addressed by sitting judges of the Supreme Court of India and other eminent constitutional authorities.

Organised by the Indian Council of Arbitration, one of India’s premier arbitral institutions, the conference aims to strengthen India’s position as a global arbitration hub and promote international best practices in dispute resolution. With a membership base of over 6,500 entities, ICA continues to play a pivotal role in fostering efficient and cost-effective arbitration mechanisms across sectors, including cross-border commercial disputes.

The conference will focus on key themes such as harmonising arbitration and mediation frameworks, the role of ADR in driving economic growth and investor confidence, the future of arbitration in the age of artificial intelligence and legal technology, and the global implications of anti-arbitration injunctions.

The event is expected to witness participation from over 500 delegates across India and abroad, with representation from more than 12 international jurisdictions. It will also feature first-of-its-kind legal technology exhibitions and curated knowledge sessions designed for practitioners, in-house counsel, arbitrators, and industry stakeholders.

The organisers emphasise that the conference will serve as a significant platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation in arbitration, particularly at a time when global trade and cross-border disputes are becoming increasingly complex.

Registration for the event is on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited seats available.

The ICA has invited members of the legal fraternity, corporate representatives, and stakeholders in dispute resolution to participate in the conference and contribute to shaping the future of arbitration in India and beyond.
