Fox & Mandal Joint Managing Partner Kunal Vajani has demitted office with effect from February 1, 2026, to focus on his independent domestic and international litigation and ADR practice.
Speaking to The Bar Bulletin (TBB) team, Kunal Vajani said his decision was guided by a renewed focus on advocacy, global engagement, and alternative dispute resolution.
“My decision to pursue an independent counsel practice is driven by a desire to focus more deeply on advocacy and trial work, particularly civil, commercial and white collar trials, which I have been privileged to conduct across multiple jurisdictions, a distinction shared by few practitioners. This transition will also allow me to expand my global professional engagement and dedicate greater bandwidth to ADR, including acting more frequently as an arbitrator and mediator in domestic, cross-border, and treaty disputes, whilst devoting myself to academic pursuits across jurisdictions alongside legal writing and mentorship.” Kunal Vajani said.
Kunal Vajani holds the distinction of being the youngest and the first lateral Joint Managing Partner in the firm’s history, having been appointed to the role in 2023.
