Punjab & Haryana High Court Appoints Justice Harinder Singh Sidhu (Retd.) as Sole Arbitrator in Dispute Over Chairmanship of Punjab Kings Franchise Owner

The Punjab & Haryana High Court has appointed former judge Justice Harinder Singh Sidhu as the sole arbitrator to adjudicate the dispute concerning the claim of chairmanship raised by Karan Paul in KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, the company that owns the IPL franchise Punjab Kings.

The appointment was made despite opposition from Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia, while Preity Zinta supported the request for appointment of a sole arbitrator. The Court, after considering the rival submissions, proceeded to constitute the arbitral tribunal to resolve the inter se disputes among the stakeholders.
