On August 1, 2025, the Ministry of Law and Justice (Department of Justice) issued a series of official notifications announcing new judicial appointments to three High Courts Patna, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab & Haryana under Articles 217(1) and 224(1) of the Constitution of India.
Patna High Court:
Shri Ajit Kumar, Advocate, has been appointed as a Judge of the Patna High Court, under Article 217(1), effective from the date he assumes charge
Andhra Pradesh High Court:
Shri Tuhin Kumar Gedela has been appointed as an Additional Judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court for a term of two years, under Article 224(1), with effect from the date of assumption of office
Punjab and Haryana High Court:
A total of ten judicial officers have been appointed as Additional Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court for a period of two years. The appointed officers, in order of seniority, are:
