The Delhi High Court on Monday deferred hearing on YouTuber Ajeet Bharti’s anticipatory bail plea in an SC/ST Act case arising from his alleged comments on Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad Ravan, after the Court noted that the complete copy of the FIR was not placed on record.
Justice Saurabh Banerjee was hearing the matter. The Sessions Court had rejected Bharti’s anticipatory bail plea on September 7, observing that his video invoked notions relating to caste, purity and hierarchy.

In today’s hearing, the Court noted that the complete FIR was not available with the petition. The counsel stated that they only had the documents already provided, following which the Court listed the matter for hearing on Wednesday. The APP submitted that the complete FIR would be supplied to the defence during the course of the day.
The counsel also sought the interim protection for Ajeet Bharti in the meantime, but the Bench stated that the request would be considered on the next date.
