The Bombay High Court on Wednesday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to appoint a suitable officer to register a crime and investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Disha Salian.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Sarang Vijaykumar Kotwal and Justice Ranjitsinha Raja Bhonsale is hearing the matter in a petition filed by Satish Salian, along with connected applications.
The matter concerns the circumstances surrounding Disha Salian’s death and the investigation into the case.
The Court’s direction comes in proceedings in which various applications and investigative records, including affidavits filed by the Senior Police Inspector, Malvani Police Station, Mumbai, and other relevant documents, have been placed on record.
The Court has now directed the CBI to appoint an appropriate officer, register a crime and undertake the investigation in accordance with law.
