The Delhi High Court has asked the defendant in a disparagement suit filed by Gillette India Limited to take down the impugned advertisement/storyboard from all channels under its control.

Justice Jyoti Singh was hearing an application filed by Gillette under Order XXXIX Rules 1 and 2 of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908. During the hearing, counsel appearing for the defendant, without admitting the alleged disparagement and without prejudice to its rights and contentions, submitted that the impugned advertisement/storyboard would be taken down from the defendant’s channels during the course of the day.

The defendant also agreed to share with the plaintiff a proposal for revised advertisements. The Court took the statement made on behalf of the defendant on record and listed the matter for September 17, 2026.

The suit has been filed by Gillette India against Visage Lines Personal Care Private Limited. Gillette was represented by Senior Advocate Chander M. Lall along with Ankur Sangal, Pragya Mishra, Saumya Bajpai, Yashodhara Raina and Annanya Mehan, while the defendant was represented by Prithvi Singh, Vardaan Anand and Ruchika Yadav.
