Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co (SAM) today announced that Partners Ravindra Bandhakavi, Amarta Roy, Srabanee Ghosh and Poornima Singh have joined its General Corporate Practice. The four Partners join from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.
The team has deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, corporate advisory work and cross-border transactions. Their arrival further strengthens the Firm’s ability to advise clients on complex domestic and international transactions across a wide range of sectors.
Ravindra Bandhakavi brings more than 25 years of experience in M&A and private equity. He has advised leading private equity funds and multilateral institutions on investments across India and South Asia, spanning early-stage to late-stage transactions. He has led deals in the renewables, infrastructure, financial services, e-commerce, real estate and manufacturing sectors. Before joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Ravindra practised at Trilegal and the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas. He graduated from NLSIU Bengaluru in 1999.
Amarta Roy has over 13 years of experience advising domestic and international clients on private equity, joint ventures, financings, exits, demergers and alternative investment funds (AIFs). He has acted on both buy-side and sell-side private equity transactions and has worked closely with several of India’s largest business groups on restructurings and outbound investments. Amarta graduated from NLSIU Bengaluru in 2007.
Srabanee Ghosh has more than 12 years of experience advising private equity funds and development finance institutions on investments and exits in India and South Asia. She has also advised on numerous business and asset transfers in the pharmaceutical sector. Srabanee graduated from HNLU in 2014.
Poornima Singh has over nine years of experience advising private equity and financial investors on investments in India’s renewables, infrastructure, financial services, e-commerce and real estate sectors. Her particular strengths include deal structuring, entry and exit strategies, and portfolio matters. Poornima graduated from GNLU in 2016.
