IBC Turns 10: Media Note
IBC Turns 10 is a one-day conference on Saturday, 24 October 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Chandigarh Judicial Academy, Sector 43, Chandigarh. It commemorates a decade of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code and brings together judges, advocates, resolution professionals and students of insolvency law.
The conference is being organised by the Society of Indian Lawyers (SIL), in association with INSOL India and IWIRC India.
Why it matters
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, enacted in 2016, turns ten this year, and the practice around it is still being shaped by tribunals, courts and amendments. IBC Turns 10 gives the legal community one day to look back at the decade and to ask what the next one requires.
For students, it is a chance to hear directly from the judges and practitioners who argue and decide these cases. For professionals, it offers a candid exchange on cross-border insolvency, out of court resolution, and the reforms still ahead.

The day opens at 9:30 a.m. with the inaugural session and runs to 5:00 p.m. Three panel sessions follow.
