The Indian Council of Arbitration (ICA) has announced the 4th Edition of its prestigious International Conference on Arbitrating Indo-UK Commercial Disputes, to be held on Friday, 5 June 2026 in London. This year’s conference is themed “ADR as a Catalyst for Strengthening the India–UK Economic Partnership.”

The 2026 edition assumes particular significance against the backdrop of the rapidly expanding India–UK economic corridor and the recent conclusion of the India–UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which is expected to significantly boost bilateral trade, cross-border investments, and commercial engagement between the two nations.

As India and the United Kingdom deepen their strategic economic relationship, robust and efficient Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms will play a pivotal role in fostering investor confidence, ensuring contractual certainty, facilitating legal and professional mobility, and creating a reliable framework for cross-border commercial transactions.

The Conference will be inaugurated by Justice Surya Kant, Chief Justice of India. The inaugural session will feature keynote addresses by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of Law and Justice, Government of India, and The Rt. Hon. Sir Geoffrey Vos, Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice of England & Wales. Special addresses will be delivered by Periasamy Kumaran, High Commissioner of India (Designate) to the United Kingdom, and Brett Dixon, Vice-President of the Law Society of England & Wales.

Bringing together distinguished members of the judiciary, eminent arbitration practitioners, policymakers, academics, corporate counsel, and industry leaders from India and the United Kingdom, the Conference will serve as a premier platform for meaningful dialogue on emerging issues in international arbitration, institutional dispute resolution, and evolving cross-border legal frameworks.
