The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Reader posted with the Court of ASJ-02 at Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe to facilitate the allowance of a bail application.

According to the agency, the case was registered on April 23, 2026, following a complaint alleging that the accused had demanded ₹30,000 from the complainant in exchange for helping secure bail for her client.

Acting on the complaint, the CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting ₹20,000 as part payment of the total demanded bribe amount. The accused was subsequently arrested.

The investigation in the matter is ongoing.
