Chandhiok & Mahajan (“C&M”) acted as legal counsel to Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited (“Dalmia Cement”) in connection with the purchase and acquisition of the cement business of Jaiprakash Associates Limited (“JAL”), comprising a total grinding capacity of 5.75 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).

The transaction marked a significant step in the consolidation of India’s cement sector and reinforced Dalmia Cement’s position as one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, further expanding its operational footprint across the country.
