Senior Advocate Gaurav Bhatia has approached the Delhi High Court with a ₹2 crore defamation suit against Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka, Abhijeet Dipke and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) over allegedly defamatory social-media content.

The dispute relates to an AI-generated graphic shared on X by Saurav Das, which attributed to Bhatia a statement describing Swatantra Bhardwaj as a “dimagi naxal.” Bhatia denied making the statement and had given Das 24 hours to delete the post and issue an unconditional apology. Das subsequently deleted the post and clarified that it was AI-generated, while also questioning whether Bhatia disagreed with the statement.

Bhatia has sought ₹2 crore in damages as well as injunctive relief against the defendants. CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka is also alleged to have amplified the disputed post by reposting the graphic.
