An FIR has been registered at Mavelikkara Police Station, Alappuzha, against four persons, including Advocates (Member of Bar Council of Kerala, an advocate clerk for allegedly conspiring to impersonate parties and fabricate court records to secure the acquittal of an accused in a pending criminal case. The FIR alleges that forged vakalaths, compromise petitions, and signatures were used, and that another individual was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Mavelikkara, in place of the actual complainant to obtain an order recording a compromise and acquitting the accused under Section 320(8) CrPC.
The case has been registered under Sections 229, 319, 336 and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pursuant to a Magistrate’s direction under Section 175(3) BNSS for investigation.
