The President of India has appointed Justice Ashwani Kumar Mishra as the Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court.

Justice Mishra is presently a Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court and had been serving as its Acting Chief Justice.

His appointment is part of the notification appointing Chief Justices to eight High Courts across India. The Supreme Court Collegium had earlier recommended Justice Mishra for appointment as the Chief Justice of the Punjab & Haryana High Court.
