The Government of India has appointed Justice Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court following the retirement of Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha on September 4, 2026.

The appointment has been made by the President of India under Article 223 of the Constitution and takes effect consequent upon Justice Sinha’s retirement. The notification was issued by the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, on September 4, 2026.
