The School of Law, Mahindra University, under the aegis of the Seeding Centre for Peace and Justice (MU-ADR), is set to host the International Arbitration Confluence 2026 from 1–3 May 2026 at the APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium, Hyderabad. The three-day conference will focus on the theme “Law, Technology & the Changing World Order.”

Organised in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Arbitration and Mediation and Asia Pacific Centre for Arbitration and Mediation, along with Hidayatullah National Law University, the Confluence aims to bring together leading judges, arbitrators, practitioners, academicians, and industry stakeholders to deliberate on the evolving landscape of international arbitration in a digitally transforming world.

The Confluence will examine how artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, ESG considerations, and regulatory convergence are reshaping dispute resolution across jurisdictions. Key discussions will revolve around issues such as AI-assisted decision-making, smart contracts, cybersecurity, digital evidence, and cross-border enforcement mechanisms.

The programme includes high-level panel discussions, expert dialogues, and a dedicated Tech-Law Conference featuring research paper presentations. Panel discussions will cover themes such as emerging trends in ADR (including energy and infrastructure disputes), digital transformation of arbitration, institutional bias and financial sector dispute resolution, and the future of ADR with a focus on policy and youth engagement.

The inaugural session will feature distinguished dignitaries including Justice V. Kameswar Rao as Chief Guest, alongside eminent jurists such as Justice Ravindra Bhat and Justice G. Raghuram. The event will also see participation from leading legal professionals including Gourab Banerji, Pinky Anand, and Anil Xavier, among others.

Over the course of three days, the Confluence will host multiple expert-led sessions addressing cutting-edge issues such as AI-generated evidence, blockchain arbitration, ESG disputes, and hybrid dispute resolution systems. A special expert dialogue on “Legal Education and Justice Delivery” and a valedictory session featuring senior members of the judiciary are also scheduled.

The event is expected to serve as a premier platform for interdisciplinary engagement between legal and technical communities, while also strengthening India’s position in the global arbitration ecosystem. It will provide valuable networking opportunities and foster dialogue on the future of dispute resolution in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.

The Confluence is open to students, academicians, practitioners, and professionals, with selected research papers to be considered for publication following peer review.
