After Justice Ashok Bhushan demitted office as Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) on 04-07-2026, there are expected to be some rearrangements in the Tribunal.

By an order dated 30-06-2026, in view of administrative requirement in public interest, the Tribunal transferred Justice Shri N. Seshasayee, Judicial Member of NCLAT and former Judge of the Madras High Court, from the Principal Bench at New Delhi to the Chennai Bench, and ordered him to join within three weeks.

Reportedly, Justice Sharad Kumar Sharma, Judicial Member of NCLAT and former Judge of the Uttarakhand High Court is also expected to be transferred from the Tribunal’s Chennai Bench to its Principal Bench in Delhi within the same time frame.
