The Supreme Court Collegium, through its notifications dated June 2, 2026, approved 12 judicial appointments and confirmations across the High Courts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab & Haryana, Madhya Pradesh & Karnataka.
The recommendations include the elevation of judicial officers and advocates as High Court judges, as well as the confirmation of two Additional Judges as Permanent Judges.
Himachal Pradesh High Court
The Collegium approved the appointment of the following Judicial Officers as Judges of the High Court:
- Shri Chirag Bhanu Singh
- Shri Bhupesh Sharma
- Shri Yogesh Jaswal
Punjab and Haryana High Court
The Collegium approved the appointment of the following Additional Judges as Permanent Judges of the High Court:
- Justice Harmeet Singh Grewal
- Justice Deepinder Singh Nalwa
Madhya Pradesh High Court
The Collegium approved the appointment of:
- Shri Amit Lahoti, Advocate
Karnataka High Court
The Collegium approved the elevation of the following Advocates as Judges of the High Court:
- Shri Raghavendra Seetharam Srivatsa
- Smt. Hema Kulkarni
- Shri Subramanya Rangarao
- Shri Thadagavadi Prakash Vivekananda
- Shri Bakkeswara Pramod
- Shri Hombe Gowda Shanthi Bhushan
The recommendations will now be forwarded to the Central Government for further processing and issuance of warrants of appointment.
