LCIA Appoints Senior Advocate Shashank Garg as Court Member

LCIA Court Member Appointment

The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) has appointed Senior Advocate Shashank Garg as a Member of the LCIA Court.

The LCIA Court plays a central role in ensuring the fair and efficient conduct of arbitrations administered under the LCIA Rules and comprises leading arbitration practitioners from jurisdictions across the globe.

Speaking on the appointment, Mr Garg said:

“Joining the LCIA Court is a privilege I do not take lightly. The LCIA’s 130-year legacy is built on genuine institutional independence and an unwavering commitment to arbitral excellence, values that remain as relevant today as ever. I am keen to contribute meaningfully to its growing focus on India, at a time when the country’s role in international arbitration is at an inflection point.”

Mr Garg is widely recognised for his expertise in commercial litigation, arbitration, and cross-border disputes. Over the years, he has appeared in several high-stakes matters before courts and arbitral tribunals, both in India and internationally. He regularly sits as an Arbitrator and has various leaderships roles including with ICC, SCL and DIAC etc

The LCIA, established in 1892, is among the oldest and most respected arbitral institutions globally, known for administering complex international commercial arbitrations with neutrality and procedural integrity.
