The Supreme Court Women Lawyers Association (SCWLA) strongly condemns the heinous and premeditated attack on Advocate Madhu, a practicing lawyer at Karkardooma Courts, who was brutally assaulted by her husband and in-laws. The incident, involving grievous injuries and life-threatening violence, underscores the alarming rise of gender-based violence even against women in the legal profession.
SCWLA demands the immediate arrest and prosecution of the accused, strict legal action without delay, and comprehensive institutional support for the victim, including medical, legal, and financial assistance. The Association reiterates its zero-tolerance stance on such acts of brutality and calls upon all legal bodies to stand in solidarity to ensure justice and safety for women lawyers.
“Enough is Enough, Silence is Not an Option.”
