The Bombay High Court has designated Special Fast-Track Courts in the Aurangabad and Nagpur judicial districts to exclusively conduct trials relating to examination malpractice under both the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and the Maharashtra Prevention of Malpractices at University, Board and Other Specified Examinations Act, 1982, along with relevant offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

As per the High Court’s notification, Shri S.V. Pawar, 10th Joint Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Aurangabad, and Shri Gulshan R. Kolte, 7th Joint Civil Judge (Senior Division) and Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagpur, have been designated to preside over the specially constituted Fast-Track Courts for their respective judicial districts.

The designated courts will exclusively try offences arising within the territorial limits of the Aurangabad and Nagpur judicial districts under the central anti-examination malpractice law, the BNSS/BNS-related provisions, and the Maharashtra statute governing examination malpractices.
