SCL India To Host 3rd International Conference on Construction Law & Arbitration In Mumbai

The Society of Construction Law – India (SCL India) will host its 3rd International Conference on Construction Law & Arbitration, themed Construction Law 3.0: From Concrete to Code”, on April 25, 2026 at ‘Trident BKC, Mumbai. The conference is expected to bring together leading voices from the legal, engineering, and arbitration sectors to deliberate on emerging trends and challenges in construction law.

The conference will feature expert-led sessions and panel discussions on issues such as the role of artificial intelligence in construction disputes, evolving methodologies in delay and damages claims, and best practices in managing large-scale infrastructure disputes. It will also serve as a platform for global networking and cross-disciplinary dialogue among practitioners, arbitrators, and policymakers.

In the lead-up to the main conference, SCL India has curated a series of pre-conference engagements, aimed particularly at young practitioners and professionals entering the field.

1. Young Practitioners Workshop – Mumbai Edition

Organised by the Young International Council (YIC), this workshop will be held on April 23, 2026 at the National Sports Club of India, Worli, Mumbai. The session will be case study-driven, focusing on practical insights into construction disputes, career development, and interaction with industry experts.

2. Pre-Conference Networking & Engagement Sessions

SCL India will also host additional networking and engagement opportunities around the conference dates, enabling participants to interact with leading practitioners, arbitrators, and experts in a more informal setting.

The programme continues the next day with the official launch of the Council for Women in Construction Law on 24 April evening, culminating in the flagship 3rd One-Day International Conference on Construction Law & Arbitration – “Construction Law 3.0: From Concrete to Code” on 25 April at Hotel Trident, Bandra Kurla, Mumbai.
