Delhi Court Orders Release of CJP Activists Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka from Police Detention

A Special Executive Magistrate (SEM) Court on Sunday morning ordered the release of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) activists Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, who were detained by the Delhi Police on October 10 ahead of a proposed protest at Jantar Mantar.

The three activists were produced before the SEM on Sunday morning and subsequently ordered to be released.

They travelled from Mumbai to Delhi to participate in the proposed protest demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The Delhi Police had denied permission for the demonstration and tightened security across the national capital to prevent protesters from reaching the protest site.

The police personnel entered the aircraft shortly after it landed in Delhi on October 10 and took the three activists into custody before they could disembark.
