Excise Policy Case: Delhi High Court Deferred Hearing to May 4 as Trial Court Records Not Received

Excise policy case hearing deferred

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday deferred hearing in the excise policy case involving AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, among others, after noting that the complete trial court record had not been placed before it.

Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma observed that it had not received the full record and directed that the same be produced through a special messenger.

“The entire trial court record has not been received. Let the entire trial court record be produced through a special messenger…We will call for the record and start hearing on Monday.”

The Court also noted that certain respondents are yet to file their replies and directed them to do so by Saturday. The matter has now been adjourned to May 4 for further hearing.
