The Karnataka High Court has notified a special sitting of women judges at its Dharwad Bench on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The special sitting will be conducted in physical mode, with an option for video conferencing, and will comprise three Division Benches and four Single Benches, all presided over by women judges.
The Division Benches will hear a wide range of matters, including writ petitions, civil matters, miscellaneous first appeals, tax appeals, family court appeals, labour and service matters, and writ appeals. The Single Benches will take up general writ petitions, criminal matters, arbitration petitions, commercial suits, miscellaneous first appeals, revision petitions relating to family courts, and other civil matters.
